Cultivations

Lemon Trees

The first cultivation of lemons in Europe was born in Sicily, around the tenth century.

Only many centuries later, this production began to develop in other parts of Italy.

The Sicilian lemon, as well as being the oldest of the existing crops, is certainly the most popular for its particular fragrance, taste and colour.

The lemon is a real panacea for our body, particularly for the treatment of throat and skin; it also strengthens the immune system, thanks to the presence of vitamin C and other antioxidants and anti-cancer agents.

Cultivations

Orange Tree

The cultivation of oranges in Sicily dates back to the first century, during the first Roman Empire.

And only after centuries, this fruit was rediscovered by Portuguese sailors who returned from the Far East, where oranges have definite origin.

But it is in the hot land of Sicily that these wonderful trees and their fruits have spread throughout the centuries, presenting itself today as the best production in the world for quality and nutritional characteristics, draining, purifying and for anti-inflammatory use.
