The olive tree is very old; it has always belonged in history of the bordering Mediterranean civilizations.
Legends speak of the most ancient olive tree reaped in the farthest frontier of the world by Hercules, the birthplace of the sacred grove of Zeus, from whose branches were intertwined in wreaths to celebrate the winners of the Olympic Games.

are sited in the Valley of Noto,
on the south-east corner of Sicily, near the junction of the two seas,
where the Ionian Sea meets the Mediterranean and history blends with the tradition and strength of skilled hands that cultivated those lands for centuries.
